Velocity is a leading entrepreneurship program at the University of Waterloo that has helped more than 400 companies start and grow, raising more than $2.4B in funding, and creating 5,000+ jobs. From idea, to product development, to commercialization, Velocity provides the knowledge, tools, space, and network that founders need to solve important global problems and become successful businesses.

Velocity programs include the Velocity Garage, Canada's most productive startup incubator which offers zero cost workspace within a 37,000 square foot facility, in addition to equipment, mentorship, and a vibrant startup community; the Velocity Fund Finals, Canada’s premiere pitch competition, is held every four months and awards $390,000 in grants a year; Velocity Start hosts weekly entrepreneurship workshops and coaching; Velocity Residence provides aspiring entrepreneurs living in Waterloo Residences with the opportunity to collaborate and work on projects they are passionate about.; Velocity Science provides the lab space, resources, and guidance needed to develop world-class science companies.
